How the hell did I get to be 16,
it doesn’t feel real but today it’s true.
I remember turning 15 like it was yesterday.
Yet 15 is a struggle, it seems miles away.
Whats that all about?
Today is the day I promised myself would be the end of messing about.
I’ve procrastinated for way to long.
Why not yesterday or last week…..?
Stupid and irresponsible I imagine.
I no longer have time for that.
I’ve allowed to many good things to slip away already.
If I don’t apply myself to getting the best out of life.
Today I will celebrate, as the eve of my new year.
Glad for the last to finally disappear.
Determined tomorrow to get on track.
To work for the future and stop looking back.
