When you connect to any website you also connect to a group of web servers. One might be an ad server, another a graphics server and so forth. Once a particular connection is granted its request, it is used for another task such as downloading audio, video, etc.
By default, Internet Explorer 7 is only able to open two to four connections at a time, however if you use a broadband connection and use tabbed browsing then we have a top tweak that will speed up IE 7 significantly. First up, open Notepad and type in the following text :
Windows Regisrtry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
“MaxConnectionsPerServer”=dword:00000010
“MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server”=dword:0000010
Save this file as Quickweb.reg on your desktop. Next, double-click the file. You’ll now see a message requesting confirmation to add the file to the Windows Registry. Hit Yes and you’re good to go.
